1 and 3 girls will be pregnant by the age of 20. That is a really messed up stat. I don't get how so many people are having so many kids where it is so easy to get contraception. Birth control, condoms, not having sex and many other ways can prevent you from having a kid. But people do not care. They think it wont happen to you, but it will happen to the ones who don't see it coming. Having kids can change your life forever! You cannot return a kid, or throw it away, it is yours till the day you die, or get it taken away by DCS.
I wish I could go to schools and talk and try to help these teens who are having sex. But education system is so afraid to talk about sex. They are afraid of what the parents will say, those parents are the ones whose kids are having sex without them knowing! Damn, we live in a society that is based on Sexs, Drugs , stealing, gambling! We need to teach our young people how to live! We need to give them resources! There was none in my highschool , no place to go get condoms or anything like that. You had to learn on your own! WE NEED TO END ABSTINENCE ONLY EDUCATION. I am sorry George Bush, TEENS are having sex. They need to learn to protect themselves. Protect from having kids or from getting STD's. It is something we need to do! Why don't people understand, they are soo against Sex education until their kid gets pregnant! I hope that schools systems will learn that we need better sex education!

I know it may sound weird, but I have respect for teens who are pregnant. I have respect for teens who decide not to have an abortion. It is a huge responsibility and way far past their maturity level. They got themselves into this, and it is only right to do the responsible thing and have the child they conceived. Yes, having sex at a young irresponsible age is wrong. If you cant handle raising a child, then don't have sex. My friend's family takes in pregnant teens, and I think it is a wonderful program. Having a child shouldn't be considered a terrible thing. In this note you kind of make it seem like having a child is a burden, which it is work that a teen may not be ready to handle, so there is such a thing called adoption. Many couples are not able to bare children and adoption is a wonderful thing. I know you are for abortion, so writing this note I'm sure that you think abortion is a right way to get rid of teen pregnancy. There will always be teen pregnancy; it's a fact. But abortion is not the way to prevent this. Abstinence is the only 100% pure way of not getting pregnant. It's common sense. That is why this is in our education system, because it is right. I don't see why anyone would think abstinence is wrong.
Juno is a wonderful film. If you haven't seen it, please do and maybe you will understand my point.
